D-113 CAMERAPHONE - original portable spring-wound phonograph in the style of a box camera. Made in England in 1922 (ptd date). Leather bound. Works very well. Reproducer has been completely overhauled and sounds nice and loud. The "sound bubble" slips on to the end of the tone arm. It is the amplifying chamber which contains within it a small black horn. This configuration reproduces the sound of the record with AMAZING LOUDNESS and clarity. The "sound bubble" has been meticulously reassembled and glued since it arrived in pieces. There are many styles of box-type phonographs, but none that have this unique "sound bubble' which makes this CAMERAPHONE a rare item, worthy of a special place in one's collection or museum. More photos are available to interested collectors.
