EEP-2 EDISON 24 Minute Record # 10005 with original sleeve

EEP-2 EDISON 24 Minute Record # 10005 with original sleeve.  This is a rare 10″ long playing Edison DD record requiring the Edison phonograph to have the features to play this record. It must also have the “extended-play” reproducer with the special fine diamond stylus. The normal Edison DD reproducer must not be used to play this record because it has the much larger diamond stylus that will ruin the super-narrow grooves.  By appearances, this record looks to be in very good condition, but it has not been played to verify its condition.  See EEP-1 for another Edison long playing record.

The original sleeve is very seldom found.  It is marked “Edison Long Playing Record”.  Even by itself, such a sleeve is a collector’s item.  But to have it together with the original record is a really good find.
